Outgoing Group Project Manager Joe recently recruited a whole new intake of Student Brand Managers. As our new SBMs progress through the academic year we will provide all you budding Group Leaders with a few handy hints and tips to make your trip a success. The first instalment comes to you courtesy of Dylan, Wolverhampton SBM.

After establishing a good relationship with the SU this is when we started to bring in the heavy stuff. We managed to get hold of our very own OUTGOING billboard in the main corridor of the university, and my team and I jazzed it up plotting all about the DAM trip the number and email which they could contact us on.

The popular OUTGOING SCOOBY DOO

To start off another week at the University of Wolverhampton we introduced our very own Wolves Outgoing Scooby Doo. We managed to get a Scooby outfit and place a t-shirt on him with the OUTGOING CREW logo. As well as using a known character which everyone knew it also drew attention to Outgoing Group. We did two events :

The Response

The pictures show the kind of the response we had… a highly positive one! Everybody loved having Scooby on sight!

How you think this marketing turned into sales

A lot of people asked what the aim of the game was, and this was the perfect opportunity to explain we worked for a company called Outgoing Group and amongst other things we organised student Group Travel all over Europe, in fact we were currently selling spaces for a trip to Amsterdam…
