The Outgoing team arrived at work at 6am last Friday! Not because we were overly keen to start work but the Outgoing coach was leaving bound for BESTIVAL!
The atmosphere was electric as soon as we stepped off the coach and onto the festival sight. Hoards of happy, dancing people filled the grassy areas in-between the food stands, stalls and stages. Hot Chip and Dizzee Rascal were definite highlights of Friday night, they absolutely rocked the main stage.
We peered out of our tents on Saturday morning to a group of playing cards walking down the hill, it was fancy dress day! The Outgoing team consisted of a crocodile, tinker bell, fairies, Pocahontas, Peter Pan, Disney sorcerers, where’s Wally and lots more! Saturday was wet and miserable to start with but as soon as we heard the music and started dancing,the horrible weather was forgotten! Beardy man, Jack Beats and the Flaming Lips were amongst our favourites of Saturday’s line up.
Our last day was awesome sunshine and boiling hot! Summer dresses and shorts were donned and tents were packed up ready to leave later that night. We explored the festival sight and visited some of the amazing bars and tents dotted around. Everyone was chilling and dancing throughout the day, waiting for the big acts to start. Fat Freddy Drop really got the crowd going in the Big Top, just in time for Prodigy on the main stage. The 40,000 strong crowd went absolutely wild and it was definitely one of the highlights of the weekend.
None of us wanted to leave Bestival! We wish we could transport our office to the fantasy forest and live there forever!
