Manchester Masters, an initiative set up to attract and keep the country’s best talent for Manchester, is looking for the region’s top graduates to work in the thriving creative sector, for the second year running.
Following the huge success of the first year where nearly 150 graduates applied, Manchester Masters is looking to start the search again and find the next generation of the Greater Manchester elite.
Students in their last year of undergraduate studies from all universities in Greater Manchester can apply by completing an online form. The top 50 applicants, as selected by the programme’s board, will then be invited to attend a two day assessment centre, including group workshops and one to one interviews. Following this rigorous process, the final ten will be chosen.

The ten lucky finalists will each have the opportunity to take part in four paid placements throughout the year, working in a variety of PR, advertising, marketing, digital and other creative roles within a wide range of leading Manchester companies including Deloitte and Manchester United Merchandising Ltd. Living rent free, the students will also undertake a fee-free Masters degree, meaning each student will finish the programme having gained invaluable industry experience as well as achieving further educational excellence.
Outgoing currently have Chris Greener (bottom row, second from left) working in the Marketing Department. Chris said “We are just about half way through the course now and I have already learnt so much. This scheme is fantastic. I do not know of any other program where students can gain so much experience and so many contacts in such a short amount of time. The companies I have been matched with are perfect, at Outgoing I am able to combine my academic experience with my passion for live music, festivals and travel…I couldn’t ask for anything more”!
